Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha to visit Indonesia

New Delhi, Nov 21 (IBNS): Towards consolidating the already robust bilateral military to military ties between India and Indonesia, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) will be on a four day Counter Part visit (CPV) to Indonesia from November 23, 2014.

During his visit CAS will meet Air Chief Marshal Bagus Putu Dunia, Chief of Staff Indonesian Air Force at the Air Headquarters  where he will be extended a ceremonial reception.

During the visit, the CAS will call on the Minister of Defence, General (Retd) Ryamizard Ryacudu and discuss bilateral issues.

The Chief of Air Staff will be visiting Air Force bases at Halim, Bandung and Bali.  A visit is planned to PT Dirgantara, which is one of the indigenous aerospace companies in Asia with core competence in aircraft Design and Development, aircraft structure manufacturing, aircraft assembly and aircraft services for both civilian and military of light and medium aircraft.  A visit to the Air Force Academy is also scheduled where he will  interact with the instructors and cadets.  An interaction with the pilots of Jupiter Aerobatic Team is also planned during the visit.

The visit plans in seizing the opportunity to bridge gaps in laying a foundation for a long lasting defence relations between India and Indonesia.
