Lucknow, May 30 (IBNS): Adding more troubles to his government, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday reacted angrily when asked about the spate of rape cases in his state.
On being asked to comment about the three horrific rape cases in his state and murders after the assault, Yadav told a journalist: "Have you faced any problem? You are safe, why are you bothered?"

"You must promote that no other state has the kind of police control room we have here. If there is any incident, we will take action," he said.

His remark comes in the wake of the brutal rape cases being reported in the state over the past 24 hours and one assault case.

Two Dalit minor sisters were allegedly gangraped and then hanged from a tree at Katra village in Badaun on Wednesday.

The cousin sisters, aged 14 and 15 respectively, were reportedly missing since Tuesday night.

The victims' family alleged that the police refused to register a a First Information Report (FIR) into the incident.

Later, coming under pressure from angry locals who took to the streets demanding action against the culprits, the police registered an FIR against seven people, including constables of Ushait police station - Sarvesh Yadav and Rakshapal Yadav.

The Uttar Pradesh Police on Friday said they have arrested three of the four accused in the case.

Two of the accused were arrested on Thursday while another one was nabbed on Friday.

Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said that the Badaun rape case will be sent to a fast track court.

Meanwhile, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the gangrape and murder of two Dalit sisters in Badaun district.

"There should a CBI probe into this shocking incident as the Akhilesh Yadav government is not at all serious about it," said Mayawati.
