Ambulances reach L-G house, Kejriwal and cabinet colleagues continue sit-in
New Delhi, June 15 (IBNS): As Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and three cabinet colleagues continued their sit-in protest at Lt Governor Anil Baijal’s office for another day on Friday, ambulances carrying medics drove into the Raj Niwas, triggering doubts that they might be taken away forcibly.
Delhi Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, public works department minister Satyender Jain and development minister Gopal Rai are currently campaigning in the Raj Niwas.
They have been campaigning since Monday.
They have refused to leave the venue unless Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal orders Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers posted in the Delhi government to call off their alleged strike.
The presence of ambulances inside the premise of the Raj Niwas even left Kejriwal to tweet: " Why r they planning to take them forcefully? It is just 4 days. Both of them r fit. They r fighting for the people of Delhi."
Kejriwal on Thursday said he and his ministers will not leave the LG's office until their demands are fulfilled.
He has also threatened that the ministers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Delhi government will stage a dharna outside the Prime Minister's office on Sunday if the matter does not resolve by the end of this week.
Meanwhile, lending him support, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu tweeted: "We express our solidarity with the Government of Delhi elected by people."
