Angry mob burns truck after it runs over mother-daughter in Assam

Guwahati: Angry mob set a truck to fire following an accident in Assam’s Cachar district on Wednesday, where a woman and her child died after a truck ran over them.

The incident took place at Kabuganj bazaar area in Cachar district.

According to the reports, the truck heading to Mizoram hit a girl student and her mother when they were going to school.

The mother and daughter died on spot.

Following the incident, an angry mob set fire to the truck and blocked the National Highway 54.

The district administration has announced to provide ex-gratia to the family of the deceased.
