Another Assam cop suspended for Facebook post

Guwahati, May 4 (IBNS): Another Assam police has been suspended after he made a post against Prime minister and other dignitaries in social media.

According to the reports, Naba Kumar Bora, Officer in charge of Lakhipur police station in Cachar district on Thursday was suspended following the directive of Assam DGP on  his remarks against the Prime Minister, Assam Chief Minister and top officials of Assam police in Facebook.

Recently, the police officer posted in the social media that he had submitted several applications to his higher authorities for transfer purpose, but he would not get any order from the higher authorities.

The Assam cop also said in the Facebook post that, he informed his higher authorities to quit the service.

Following the social media post, the Assam police suspended the police official.

Earlier, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) was suspended after a Facebook post, where the DSP said that, a BJP lady MLA is involved in flesh trade.
