New Delhi, Jan 16 (IBNS) Another Censor board member Ira Bhaskar has also decided to quit in support of Board chief Leela Samson's resignation following the controversy over the film "MSG: the Messenger of God" starring Dera Sachcha Sauda group chief Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim, the clearance of which was objected by the Board.

Commenting on her resignation, Bhaskar said, "I've decided to resign. Our members had discussed on this issue and we decided to support our Chairperson Leela Samson. Now she had resigned and we even have not met as a board. No board meeting for last one year."

Earlier on Friday, India Censor Board chief Leela Samson stepped down from her post.

Samson, who said the film that shows the Dera chief as a swashbuckling hero was not suitable for public viewing, alleged corruption and interference of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry in her resignation letter.

In a statement  Samson cited "interference, coercion and corruption of panel members and officers of the organisation appointed by the Ministry" as the cause of her resignation.

Meanwhile, media reports quoted Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore countering the allegation saying that there was no government interference in clearing the film.

The controversial Dera Saccha Sauda sect chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh at a press conference in Gurgaon in Haryana, where it was to be premiered on Friday, said that it does not target any religious section.

"I have clearly said that I am just human. The acts portrayed in the movie are simply stunts," he said incriticism from Sikh groups that he was portraying himself as God and Sikh Guru.

The film is produced under the Hakikat Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. banner and features Singh in the lead role. According to the producers, the movie deals with youth-related issues like drug abuse, alcoholism, etc.

The film has seven songs and is being released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and English.
