'Anti-national slogans won't be tolerated in Shivaji's land': Eknath Shinde

| @indiablooms | Sep 25, 2022, at 03:05 pm

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said Saturday that “anti-national” slogans will not be tolerated in the land of  Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj" after a video purportedly showed Popular Font of India (PFI) supporters in Pune raising "Pakistan Zindabad" slogans.

After the countrywide crackdown by NIA, ED, and CBI on the radical outfit, a video emerged showing PFI cadres raising the slogan during an agitation.

Taking note of the incident, the Maharashtra government reacted strongly and assured appropriate action against the persons involved while also asserting that such slogans won't be tolerated in Shivaji's land.

“No amount of condemnation for the sort of anti-national ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans that have been raised in Pune, is enough. Police will definitely take appropriate action but such slogans will not be tolerated on Shivaji’s land,” Eknath Shinde tweeted.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who is also the Home Minister, said people who were involved in sloganeering will not be spared.
