AP govt launches anti-corruption helpline

Amaravati/UNI: In a bid to curb corruption, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday launched the ‘Citizens’ Help Centre’ to register complaints on corruption.

The Chief Minister launched the Citizens’ Helpline number 14400 at his camp office here which will register all complaints of corruption and complete the investigation within 15 to 30 days of receiving the complaint.

The Chief Minister also released posters in English and Telugu to bring awareness among the public on the Helpline.

The main slogan on the poster reads ‘let’s join hands to eradicate corruption’.

Anyone can call the number to inform about corruption in the government offices.

After the launch, the Chief Minister made a direct call to the helpline and inquired about the functioning of the call centre.

He directed the officials to complete the investigation into the complaints on corruption within 15 to 30 days.

Minister for Municipal Administration Botsa Satyanarayana and DGP Goutham Sawang were among those present on the occasion.
