Assam: 81.09 lakh voters to decide fate of 264 candidates in first phase of polls tomorrow
Guwahati/IBNS: The first phase of poll for 47 constituencies including 42 seats in 11 districts of Upper Assam, Northern Assam region and five seats in central Assam’s Nagaon district will be held on Saturday.
According to the Election Commission, 81,09,815 voters including 40,77,210 males and 40,32,481 females are eligible to cast their votes at 1,1537 polling stations in the first phase of the assembly poll.
The voting will begin at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm on Saturday.
81.09 lakh voters will exercise their franchise to decide the fate of 264 candidates in 47 assembly constituencies.
