Assam: Man arrested for circulating objectionable post of PM Modi, Amit Shah on social media

Guwahati, Aug 14 (IBNS): The Assam police on Wednesday arrested a man from Kokrajhar district for circulating objectionable post of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on social media.

According to the reports, police arrested the person named one Aziyar Rahman of Singimari village under Fakiragram police station in Kokrajhar district for uploading and sharing objectionable post, morphed photographs of PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on social media.

When police found the objectionable post circulated by the person on social media, the Kokrajhar district police registered a case against the person at Fakiragram police station and arrested him from Shakti Ashram market area.

Police seized one MI Note 5 Mobile handset and two SIM cards in possession from him.

He was produced before the Court of District & Sessions Judge, Kokrajhar.
