Assam: Three people killed in bus-oil tanker collision

Guwahati/IBNS: At least three people were killed and few others injured following a head on collision between a passenger bus and an oil tanker in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district on Monday.

The incident took place on National Highway – 36 near Mohongdijuwa area under Manja police station in the hill district.

According to the reports, the passenger bus bearing registration number AS-21C-4996 coming from Dimapur to Hojai tried to overtake a truck and knocked the oil tanker bearing registration number AS-14C-6713 coming from opposite direction.

Three people died on spot and many others injured in the accident.

The injured persons were rushed to hospital.
