Aurangabad administration issues alert in wake of water release from Nashik

Aurangabad, Aug 4 (UNI) In the wake of the continuous water release from upper Godavari various dams of Nashik district, the Aurangabad district administration has issued vigilance alerts so that potentially unpleasant incidents do not occur and care would be taken to ensure the safety of villagers as floodwater is entering their villages.

According to the official press release, due to the torrential rains in Nashik districts, almost 10 irrigation projects were fully filled up and irrigation department is continuing to release the flooded water toward Jayakwadi dam in Aurangabad district as a result of which, Godavari's level has been rising significantly

The administration has issued directions to concerned bodies at the respective tehsil level and the citizens have also been advised to be alert.
