Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina condoles Sushma Swaraj's death

Dhaka, Aug 7 (IBNS): At a time when India is mourning the death of Sushma Swaraj, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also condoled the demise of the former External Affiars Minister.

Hasina expressed “deep condolence” at the death of Sushma and extended sympathy to her family in a message early on Wednesday, reported bdnews24.

Hasina described Sushma Swaraj as a 'good freind' of Bangladesh.

"She (Sushma) was a good friend of Bangladesh. With her death Bangladesh has lost a good friend," Hasina said in the message.

Sushma Swaraj served as the External Affairs Minister of the country in the first term of the PM Narendra Modi-led government.

Sushma Swaraj passed away at AIIMS on Tuesday.

She was 67.
