Bengal won't succumb to fears created by BJP govt under any circumstance: Mamata

Kolkata, May 11(IBNS): Hitting out at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) once again, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that Bengal won't succumb to any fear created by the BJP government at the Centre, according to media reports on Thursday.

Attacking BJP for playing religious cards in politics, Banerjee said that unlike other states like Maharashtra, Bihar or Odisha, Bengal won't be quiet to religious intolerance created by BJP.

She also went a step ahead to call the central government ruled by the saffron party, "a government of the opportunist and by the opportunist".

The Trinamool Congress supremo, while addressing the people in Buddha Jayanti, accused BJP for intruding into the personal spheres and said "no one has the right to dictate on food habits, birth of a child or anything else".

Banerjee even expressed her anguish on comments made by BJP leaders, on her religion, origin, or sex.

Recently, a BJP leader of the state allegedly said that the WB CM is neither male or female (an eunuch).

The CM urged the people of the state to give a judgement on such remarks made by BJP.

"I want a justice from people," she said.
