Big boost for Punjab! PM Modi opens new Halwara Airport terminal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the new terminal building at Halwara Airport, calling it a moment of immense joy for the people of Punjab, particularly those in Ludhiana and nearby regions.

Highlighting Ludhiana’s significance, the Prime Minister said the city is a key industrial and commercial hub in northern India and plays a vital role in the country’s economic growth.

He noted that the government is committed to strengthening air connectivity to support the region’s development.

In a post on X, Modi said, “The inauguration of a terminal building at the Halwara Airport is a moment of immense joy for the people of Punjab, especially Ludhiana and surrounding areas. Ludhiana, as we all know, is a vital industrial and commercial hub in Northern India.”

He added, “This city is known for its dynamic people. Our Government is working tirelessly to improve air connectivity for this city, reflecting in the ongoing works for a modern airport.”
