Bihar Govt helping criminals get bails : BJP

| | Oct 21, 2016, at 09:02 pm
Patna, Oct 21 (TheBiharPost/IBNS) The opposition Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Nitish Kumar Government in Bihar of helping the criminals get bails from the court.

The BJP made the allegations after three notorious faces, such as Mohammad Shahabuddin, Raj Ballabh Yadav and Rocky Yadav managed to get bails from the Patna high court in the past one month.

Shahabuddin has been convicted in at least 10 cases, including murder while Raj Ballabh has been charged with raping a teenaged girl.

Rocky, on the other hand, is accused of shooting dead a teenager in a road rage case.

“First Shahabuddin, then Rajballabh & now Rocky Yadav got bail. Why Nitish is helping these goons to come out of jail. Lalu ?” senior BJP leader Sushil  Modi tweeted, questioning the role of the advocate general, additional advocate general and Public Prosecutor (PP).

Modi especially wondered over the way Rocky, who is the main accused in teenager Aditya Sachdeva murder case, managed to get bail from the court whereas the co-accused Teni Yadav still remains behind the bars.

He also accused the CM of going back from his promise of conducting speedy trial in the case. “Even after six months of the incident (Aditya murder case), neither the charge has been framed against the accused nor has a speedy trial started," Modi alleged.
