Bihar will celebrate diwali on Nov eight ahead of diwali : PM Modi
Purnea, Nov 2 (IBNS) Assailing Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav allegedly for doing "nothing" for Bihar in the last 25 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday that the people of the state will vote overwhelmingly in favour of the BJP-led NDA to usher in development and will celebrate "two diwalis" on November eight, when results for the Assembly elections will be announced.
Addressing an election rally in Purnea ahead of the last round of election to be held on November five, the PM dared Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his predecessor Lalu Prasad Yadav to give account of the achievements of their governments in the last 25 years.
"Does Bihar have electricity everywhere ? does it have roads, medical facilities, adequate water supply, employment ? Nothing. They have done nothing for the state..." he said.
"They are seeking the account of performance from my government at the centre which has not yet completed 25 months. What have you done for 25 years ? First you give that account," Modi said.
Declaring that he was seeking votes in the name of development, Modi said Bihar has the capability of going ahead in every field and the BJP, once it comes to power, will ensure the state's progress.
