BJP fields 4 sitting MPs from Delhi, Hardeep Puri to contest from Amritsar

New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI): Ending speculation, BJP is fielding four sitting MPs from Delhi and Union Minister Hardeep Puri will be saffron party nominee from Amritsar, according to a fresh list released by the party on Sunday.

Union Minister Dr Harshwardhan will seek re-election from Chandni Chowk constituency, celebrity turned politician Manoj Tiwari from North East Delhi, Pravesh Verma from West Delhi and Ramesh Bidhuri from South Delhi seat.

The party also fielded Mr Shankar Lalwani from Indore in Madhya Pradesh where Speaker Sumitra Mahajan fought and won in 2014. Ms Mahajan had won from Indore eight times in a row.

Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri is being fielded from Amritsar in Punjab and Harinarayan Rajbhar from Ghosi in Uttar Pradesh by the saffron party, the party announcement said.
