Patna, Apr 5 (UNI) Anguished over ‘wrong’ selection of candidates for Lok Sabha election, former Bihar Minister and senior BJP leader Renu Kushwaha today resigned from the party.

Former MP Kushwaha in presence of former MLA Punam Devi and BJP candidate from Madhepura Lok Sabha constituency in last election Vijay Kumar Singh announced her resignation from BJP in a press conference.

Besides her, senior BJP leader Narendra Singh Kushwaha and his supporters also announced their resignation from the party by expressing their anguish over the party.

Former Minister said that she had resigned from JD (U) and also quit her minister post to join BJP along with her supporters as she was highly impressed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s slogan of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.

She said that the face of BJP led NDA government at the centre stood exposed and selection of candidates in this Lok Sabha election only aggravated the situation compelling her to resign from BJP.
