Chandigarh, July 6 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader OP Dhankar has triggered a controversy as he said his party will bring girls from Bihar so that all men in Haryana can get married.

"There are many unmarried young men in villages," the leader said while addressing at the Kisan Mahasammelan at Narwana on Friday.

"During poll campaigning I was told they are bringing girls from Bihar and other places. We are going to take care of this. Sushil Modi is my friend and we will get all the young men married, " he said.

Dhankar made the remarks at a time then Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP and Bengali film actor Tapas Paul's 'rape remark' had sparked major controversy last week.

In a public meeting at a village in West Bengal recently, Paul was caught on camera threatening women of the opposition Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) with rape by his boys.

He also threatened to kill people himself with a firearm.

A second video also emerged on Paul's another speech where he also threatened to kill and provoked party members to slit the throat of opposition.
