BJP Legislature Party in Karnataka to meet on Thursday
Bengaluru, July 10 (UNI): Sensing the seat of power is an inch-away, Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party leader B.S. Yeddyurappa had convened a Legislative Party meeting tomorrow.
According to sources, the party leader in the floor of the House, B.S. Yeddyurappa has issued directions to all his party MLAs to attend the meeting.
The recent political developments following the resignations of nearly 20 MLAs to their membership, and other related issues are likely to be discussed at the meeting, the sources said.
The BJP is also expected to work out strategies in the event of the coming to the end of the JD(S)-Congress alliance government, the sources said.
In a statement issued here the former chief minister had also condemned the incident in which a Congress MLA was manhandled, by some of the Congress supporters including ministers and legislators.
"The incident had brought down the reputation of the state," he said.
Referring to the delay in the acceptance of the resignations submitted by few of the Congress and the JD(S) legislators he said: "The issue will come before the apex court on Thursday and likely to bring to an end to all the uncertainties."
