Bangalore, Aug 22 (IBNS): In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old boy was brutally thrashed with a rod in a government shelter home here.

The boy was allegedly taken to the shelter home mistakenly, thinking that is an orphan.

"They made me walk for 1 km on my knees. They made me clean toilets and kitchen," the boy was quoted as saying by CNN-IBN.

The boy's mother later filed a complaint.
