BSF celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas in Guwahati

Guwahati, July 27 (IBNS) : Border Security Force Guwahati Frontier has concluded a weeklong “Kargil Vijay Diwas” by a Motor cycle Rally at Patgaon, outskirts of Guwahati as well as Sector Headquarters and Battalions under Command on July 27, to commemorate 20 Years of Kargil Vijay diwas. 

In the series Ftr HQ Guwahati has conducted a Motorcycle Rally traversed a distance of approximately 62 kilometres from Khanapara Parade ground to Frontier HQ Guwahati via DTO Guwahati, Garchuk, Jalukbari.

The Motorcycle Rally was flagged off by Piyush Mordia, Inspector General BSF Guwahati Frontier and also participated along with 150 participants including Officers, Subordinate officers, Jawans of BSF, Composite Hospital and 1st NDRF Patgaon, Guwahati.

10 riders of Chirag Enfield motor cycle agency, Maligaon, Guwahati also participated in the event.

At the end, BSF documentary on Kargil war was screened at Auditorium hall of BSF campus, Patgaon and was applauded by all.

The Motor Cycle Rally organized with an aim to spread the message of bravery of our soldiers and victory of the Indian Army over Pakistan Army and intruders in 1999.

Piyush Mordia, Inspector General Frontier HQ BSF Patgaon, Guwahati appreciated this gesture of tribute. Lauding the enthusiasm of participants, he reiterated that contribution of Martyrs must not be forgotten. He said that we are also duty bound to look after the families of Martyrs.
