BSF personnel nab two smugglers with cattle in Assam’s South Salmara

Guwahati, Aug 14 (IBNS): The troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended two smugglers with cattle in Assam’s South Salmara Mankachar district along Indo-Bangladesh border on Wednesday night. 

The BSF personnel caught them at Sishumara border outpost area while they were trying to smuggle the cattle to Bangladesh by crossing the international border.

A top official of BSF said that, the patrolling party of BSF noticed two persons with cattle along the international border and immediately caught them.

“They had tried to deliver the cattle to Bangladesh by crossing the border,” the BSF official said.

The nabbed cattle smugglers were identified as Salam Sheikh and Jeherul Sheikh.

Later the apprehended persons and cattle were handed over to South Salmara police for further action.
