Buddhadeb slams WB govt over Saradha

Krishnanagar, Apr 27 (IBNS) Former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya on Sunday criticised the West Bengal government over the Saradha chit fund scam which hit the east Indian state last year.

"Where did the money go?When will people get back their money? We want an answer," Bhattacharya said while addressing a rally.

The senior Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader also  demanded a  Supreme Court-monitored CBI investigation into the scam which left  lakhs of depositors in a fix.

The Saradha Group that went bust last year left lakhs of depositors in a fix.

Saradha Group Chairman and Managing Director Sudipta Sen is currently in jail.
