Burdwan blast: Key conspirator Zia-ul-Haq arrested from WB's Malda district

New Delhi, Nov 7 (IBNS): The National Investigating Agency (NIA) on Friday arrested the key conspirator in the Burdwan blast case Zia-ul-Haq from Malda district in West Bengal.
"It has been revealed during investigation that the accused Zia-ul-Haque was the part of Jihadi training module where he was a key Jihadi motivator and would motivate the trainees in the Jihadi ideology. He used to facilitate the training module by collecting Jihadi videos related to the Gujarat riots, Assam riots, killing of Rohingiyas etc. These video clips were then shown to the trainees at Simullia and Mukhimnagar Madrassas," the probe agency said in a  statement.
 
Haque is closely associated with top Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) commanders including the absconding Bangladeshi JMB commander Sajid and Sakib alias Suman, an NIA investigation revealed.
 
"NIA team also conducted raid at his house in Maida and recovered a laptop. This laptop was reportedly handed over to Zia-ul-Haque by Rizaul Karim after the Burdwan blast. Further forensic anaylsis of the laptop to cull out the information contained therein is being carried out," the agency's statement said.
 
On Oct 2, a terror module got busted in Khagragarh in West Bengal's Burdwan district after an inadvertent explosion took place when suspected Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) terrorists were making Improvised Explosive Device (IED), thus killing 2 of them.
