New Delhi, Aug 6 (IBNS): A private cab driver was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a five-year-old girl in Delhi, police said.

The driver, identified as Vipin, was sent to 14 days judicial custody.

Police said the incident took place when the pre-nursery student was being taken to a south Delhi school a few days ago. The driver was attached to the school with the responsibility to take children to the institutions everyday.

It was found in the investigation that the five-year-old was alone with the driver for a 15-minute stretch from her house in the Kalkaji area to Greater Kailash. After that other children joined her in the school vehicle.

The girl had reportedly not attended school for two weeks on complaints of high fever. Her parents went to the police as she reportedly told them about the physical abuse on Monday evening, sources said.
