Cabinet gives in-principle approval for Air India disinvestment

New Delhi, June 28 (IBNS): In a major development, the Union Cabinet on Wednesday gave in-principle approval for national-carrier Air India's stake disinvestment.

Speaking to media, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said: "In-principle approval for Air India disinvestment has been given."

The decision was given by the Union Cabinet at its meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Cabinet meeting has also directed a committee led by the Finance Minister to work out how this decision would be implemented.
