Chhattisgarh attack: Mamata Banerjee visits house of slain CRPF jawan

Cooch Behar, Apr 25 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday visited the residence of slain CRPF jawan K K Das.

Das was killed in the Maoist attack at Sukma in Chhattisgarh on Monday.

Banerjee announced that her government will give Rs five lakh to the family of the slain jawan.

Two slain CRPF jawans are from Cooch Behar. The other one is from Nadia district.

"We have decided to give financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh & govt job to families," Banerjee was quoted as saying by AITC Twitter page.
