Chhattisgarh: BSF jawan killed in Naxal attack

Raipur, Apr 13 (IBNS) A BSF jawan has been killed as Naxals attacked a team of the force in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district, reports said on Monday.

On Sunday, at least 18 trucks carrying iron ore were set ablaze by the Maoists in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district on Sunday morning though no casualty was reported.

The rebels attack the Barbaspur iron ore mine and then went on setting ablaze the vehicles that carry iron ore from the mines.

At least seven policemen were killed during an encounter with the Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Saturday.

Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh tweeted on Monday: "I paid my soulful tribute, at Jagdalpur, to STF (Special Task Force) Jawans martyred in the Sukma naxal attack."
