Kolkata, Sept 1 (IBNS): A section of guardians on Thursday demonstrated at a school premise in northern Kolkata's Dumdum area, alleging that a teacher beat a student without any reason, reports said.

According to reports, a class-III student of Dumdum Central Modern School- Priyanshu Das- was allegedly beaten up badly by his class teacher Minati Saha on Wednesday, as he accidentally dropped a pencil onto the floor during a class.

Besides staging protest at the school, family members of the student lodged a complaint at Dumdum Police Station.

However, the school authority has assured to look into the matter, while the accused teacher denied all allegations against her.
