New Delhi, Dec 25 (IBNS): Congress on Friday reacted strongly against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's surprise decision to visit Pakistan and called his move a 'misadventure'.

"Whispers are floating that a steel oligarich who ostensibly brokered a meeting between Modi & Nawaz in Thimpu is in Lahore now Any guesses?," he said.

Modi will visit Lahore shortly.

Modi has already spoken to Sharif and wished him on his birthday.

"Spoke to PM Nawaz Sharif and wished him on his birthday," the PM said.

"Looking forward to meeting PM Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today afternoon, where I will drop by on my way back to Delhi," Modi tweeted.

He will meet the Sharif on his way back to India after visiting Afghanistan.
