Criminal psychologist Anuja Kapur condemns Badaun case

"Heinous crimes like this should be investigated in the fast track courts to give the justice to the victims in minimum time and give them the rigorous punishment so that they can never even think of doing such crimes," Kapur said.

"We all have to come forward against these crimes to make sure that this kind of crimes will not happen in future," she added.

Coming under immense pressure, the Samajwadi Party (SP) government in Uttar Pradesh has decided to act tough on the bureaucrats in connection with the Badaun case.

The Akhilesh Yadav government on Monday removed Principal Secretary for Home Anil Gupta, media reports said.

This comes a day after, the UP government sacked state Chief Secretary Javed Usmani.

The UP government has also referred the case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Two Dalit minor sisters were allegedly gangraped and then hanged from a tree at Katra village in Badaun on May 27.

The cousin sisters, aged 14 and 15 respectively, were reportedly missing since May 27 night.

The victims' family alleged that the police refused to register a a First Information Report (FIR) into the incident.

The family members of the victim have termed this act is more gruesome then the “Nirbhaya” rape case.

"We don’t want any compensation or any help we just want justice," said the father of the victim.

"If the police would have done their duty the lives of the two girls would have been saved," he added.

Later, coming under pressure from angry locals who took to the streets demanding action against the culprits, the police registered an FIR against seven people, including two constables of Ushait police station.

Five of the accused named in the FIR have been arrested.

Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said that the Badaun rape case will be sent to a fast track court.
