Ranchi/UNI: Life is slowly limping back to normalcy in Lohardaga as the administration was trying its best to normalise the situation as a part of which curfew was relaxed in the city for six hours in two shifts.

In the first shift the curfew was relaxed from 0900hrs to 1200hrs and in the second shift from 1400hrs to 1700hrs which helped the people to purchase items of daily need. People were spotted buying medicines, vegetables and other essentials during the period. After the curfew was relaxed people in large number were found on the roads.

The administration, meanwhile, has positioned large number of police personnel on all the prominent spots and lanes of the city with IG Naveen Kumar Singh and DIG Amol V Homkar themselves camping at the spot and monitoring the situation.

Government and private schools and colleges remained closed for yet another day. The district administration has urged the people to cooperate in maintaining law and order and not fall prey to any false propaganda. The people have been asked to immediately report to higher authorities of any suspicious activities.

The district administration has also deployed drones in lanes and localities to keep an eye on the situation while in different sectors magistrates are also monitoring the happenings.

Curfew was enforced in the area after a pro-Citizenship (Amendment) Act rally came under attack on January 23.
