Delhi polls: Kejriwal slams BJP over advertisement
New Delhi, Jan 30 (IBNS): As the Delhi Assembly elections are nearing and rival parties are taking digs at each other, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over a cartoon advertisement released by the latter.
In the advertisement, social activist Anna Hazare's cartoon has been shown framed with a garland, while Kejriwal's cartoon, in which he is promising not to take support from Congress, is shown to have done "marriage" with the Congress party.
Slamming the saffron party, Kejriwal tweeted: "Nathuram Godse killed Gandhiji on this day in 1948. BJP has killed Anna in its ad today. Shudn't BJP apologise?"
He also asked his party supporters to not get diverted.
"To all AAP volunteers n supporters. Evil forces will try to divert ur attention. But pl stay focussed on positive agenda for Delhi. AAP is forming govt in delhi. Get ready to serve Delhi and to make it safe for women," he posted.
"I will always pray for well being and good health of Annaji," added the former Delhi CM.
