Delhi polls: Surender Prakash Sharma to contest from Gandhi Nagar

New Delhi, Jan 20 (IBNS): The Congress on Tuesday fielded Surender Prakash Sharma as its candidate from Gandhi Nagar seat of Delhi as the national capital is gearing up to elect a new Assembly on Feb 7.

 Congress leader Arvinder Singh Lovely, who had earlier won from the seat, will not contest the polls this year.

The party also named Meenakshi Chandila as its candidate from Rajouri Garden seat.

Delhi Assembly elections will be held on Feb 7. Counting of votes would  be held on Feb 10.
