Delhi Uber taxi rape: Driver gets life sentence
New Delhi, Nov 3 (IBNS) A Delhi court on Tuesday sentenced a Uber cab driver, who was found guilty of raping a passenger in the cab, to life imprisonment.
The incident took place on Dec 5 when the 25-year-old woman, a finance executive working in Gurgaon, was on her way back home in Inderlok in northwest Delhi.
The accused, Shiv Kumar Yadav, was arrested two days later from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.
In Oct 20, the court had convicted the driver for raping the victim.
