New Delhi/UNI:  Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of doing 'politics of deceit', saying the country will continue to function on democracy and its constitution, and the BJP will not succeed in the 'conspiracy.'

Taking to micro blogging site twitter, Gandhi expressed ' Indian democracy based on country's constitution will function as per the voice of its people. The people of the country will not fall and will keep aside BJP's conspiracy and protect democracy and the constitution.'

Meanwhile, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi in a statement, said that the Governor is the guardian of the constitution and the central government and the courts can ask the Governor to work within the boundaries of the constitution and can also seek information in implementation of the constitution in the state.

He further said that the constitution provides limited powers to the Governor and there position is like an ornament in protecting the constitution.
