Demolition of Ravidas temple is condemnable: Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow, Aug 25 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav here on Sunday said that demolition of Sant Ravidas temple at Tuglakabad in Delhi was condemnable as it offended emotions of a community.

Yadav said that emotions and feelings of hundreds of devotees was attached with temple of Sant Ravidas and demolition of 16 century temple has revealed true face of BJP.

Saints and seers have great place in Indian culture who guided life of devotees from ancient time. Temples were always connecting points where statues of such peers propagated their ideologies.

He said that demolition of Ravidas temple and use of force against his devotees was condemnable. He demanded that all jailed agitators should be released immediately and cases against them should be abrogated.
