Dinanath Pandey Smart Idea Innovation Award 2018 for Imnameren Imsong

Guwahati, Feb 13 (IBNS): The Dinanath Pandey Smart Idea Innovation Award 2018 was presented to Nagaland’s Imnameren Imsong.

The award was presented to him  by Assam education minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya during a function held at Regional Science Centre, Guwahati in presence of few renowned scientists.

Imsong, who hails from Suhoi village in Dimapur, was honoured with the award for his innovative and unique equipment for the development of Nagaland.

Late Dinanath Pandey was a renowned scientist from Assam,  who innovated several technical machines.

Recently, a two-day Innovation Festival organised by Regional Science Centre, Guwahati was held in Guwahati and over 150 scientists from different parts of the country participated in it.

Sailen Pandey, son of late Dinanath Pandey, said that the award was introduced to r encourage young scientists.
