Mumbai, Sept 7 (IBNS) In a new development in the murder case which led to the arrest of former media executive Indrani Mukherjea, DNA tests have confirmed that the skeletal remains found in Raigad close to Mumbai city have been established as that of Sheena Bora, media reports said on Monday.

Earlier, a two-dimensional facial reconstruction (digital superimposition) on the skull recovered from the forest of Pen in Raigad matched with that of Sheena Bora, sources in Mumbai police told dna on Friday.

Meanwhile, a court here sent Indrani Mukherjea, the prime accused in the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora, and driver Shyam Rai to 14 days judicial custody on Monday.

Another accused in the case, Sanjeev Khanna has been taken to Kolkata from Mumbai for further investigation into the case.

Indrani Mukherjea was taken by Mumbai police to her residence on Sunday for reconstruction of the crime, reports said.

Indrani Mukerjea was arrested on Aug 24 for the murder of Sheena Bora, her daughter from an earlier relationship, in 2012.
