Do not talk to Hurriyat, put Geelani, Mirwaiz behind bars: Dogra Front to Union Home Minister Amit Shah

Jammu, Jun 25 (UNI) Ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's two day visit to the state of Jammu and Kashmir starting from Wednesday, activists of Dogra Front on Tuesday staged a protest demanding that no dialogue should be held with Hurriyat Conference leaders and separatists.

The activists also urged the Centre to put Hurriyat Conference leaders like Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq behind bars.

Led by its president, Ashok Gupta, Dogra Front workers carrying placards with slogans "Hurriyat Se Baat Kyun", staged the demonstration here in afternoon.

The protestors said that links of separatists were already established with the Pakistan and in such a situation, no dialogue should be held with them.

Pertinent to mention that the separatists in the Kashmir valley have agreed to hold talks with the Centre if invited.

"Mr Shah is visiting to the Valley for two days from tomorrow and he should not hold any dialogue with the separatists forces because they are anti-nationals and should be jailed," Mr Gupta demanded.

He said that earlier also the separatists refused to hold talks with government representatives, so why a special treatment should be given them.

"Instead of dialogue, they should be jailed. Their links into terror funding, Hawala rackets, across the border are already established," he said and sought continuation of anti-militancy operations in the Valley.

Shah will arrive in Kashmir on Wednesday and will chair security review meeting ahead of Shri Amarnath Yatra starting from July 1.

The HM will also meet the Governor Satya Pal Malik, pay obeisance at Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine besides holding meeting with party cadre during his stay.
