Earthquake of 6.6 magnitude jolts Punjab, felt across north India
Amritsar/IBNS: A powerful earthquake of 6.1 magnitude jolted Punjab's Amritsar on Friday night and was felt as far as Delhi, prompting people to rush out of their homes
The precise location of the earthquake's epicentre was Lat: 31.57 & Long: 75.09, 21 km from Amritsar, said India's National Center for Seismology.
The earhquake occured at 10:34 pm IST at a depth of 10 km from the surface.
