Eastern Command observes Army Day-2015

Kolkata, Jan 13 (IBNS) TheEastern Command on Tuesday observed the 'Army Day-2015' with large number of soldiers donating 110 units of blood at Command Hospital (EC) here.

Lt Gen JS Cheema, Chief of Staff (EC) inaugurated the blood donation camp.

Maj Gen AK Nagpal, MG (Med), Maj Gen Deepak Kalra, Hospital Commandant and other officials were also present.
A motivation talk to promote safe blood donation practices was also given. The Blood Transfusion Centre at Command Hospital has storage facilities for 5000 RBC units and 1000 Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) units.
