New Delhi/Kolkata, Nov 20 (IBNS): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday conducted raids at over twelve locations in three cities across India in connection with its ongoing probe into the money laundering case against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, sources said.
According to ED sources, few teams of the probe agency raided few locations in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.

At least two premises of few business entities, which allegedly received funds from the associates of Virbhadra Singh, in central and south Kolkata were also raided on Friday.

Few days ago, the Enforcement Directorate registered a case against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his wife Pratibha under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

In June, the CBI initiated a preliminary inquiry against Virbhadra Singh and his family over allegations of corruption and acquiring assets disproportionate to their known sources of income during his tenure as the union steel minister.

The period of the probe primarily covers Virbhadra Singh’s term as Union Minister for Steel and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) between 2009 and 2012.
