Lucknow/IBNS: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday raided 14 premises linked to Jalaluddin Shah alias Chhangur Baba, who is accused of leading a religious conversion racket in Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur, media reports said.

The raids were carried out this morning on the premises of Chhangur Baba and his accomplices in Uttar Pradesh's Utaraula.

Large quantities of land documents, luxury vehicles, gold and unaccounted cash have been recovered by the raids, Hindustan Times reported.

The probe agency also raided the premises of one Shahzad Sheikh on whose bank account Rs. 1 crore was transferred from Chhangur Baba's account.

The probe officers suspect foreign funding in Chhagur Baba's racket as the ED found evidence of money inflow from Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Nepal.

Chhangur Baba, who allegedly collected huge sums of money and gathered properties worth crores in disguise of religious faith, was arrested by UP Police' Anti-Terrorism Squad along with his aide Neetu on July 5.

Chhangur Baba is accused of converting Hindus and other non-Muslims to Islam, an allegation denied by him.
