New Delhi, July 15 (UNI): External affairs minister S Jaishankar on Monday called on Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh.

Though officials called the meeting, held at Amarinder’s residence at the Kapurthala House here, as a courtesy call, sources said the two leaders held discussions on the Kartarpur corridor, which will enable Sikh pilgrims to visit Nankana Saheb in Pakistan, where Guru Nanak died in 1539.

Experts from India and Pakistan on Sunday held talks at the Wagah border to discuss modalities of facilitation of pilgrims for travel through the Kartarpur corridor.
