External Affairs Minister Jaishankar's mother dies, DMK chief Stalin condoles

Chennai/UNI: External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar's mother Sulochana Subrahmanyam passed away today here due to illness.

Dr Jaishankar tweeted: "Deeply grieved to inform of the passing away today of my mother Sulochana Subrahmanyam. We ask her friends and well-wishers to keep her in their thoughts. Our family is especially grateful to all those who supported her during her illness.

DMK President and Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Assembly M K Stalin condoled the death of Dr Jaishankar's mother.

In a tweet, Stalin said ''My heartfelt condolences to Thiru Dr. S.Jaishankar and his family on the demise of Mrs Sulochana Subrahmanyam. I wish you strength in this difficult time.''
