Bhopal/IBNS: A tragic photo of a mother carrying her young child following the cruise boat accident in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur went viral on social media, triggering an outpouring of emotion from internet users.

Viral Image Sparks Debate

Though the picture struck an emotional chord with several netizens, the reality behind the visual appears to be different.

The Jabalpur District Administration has issued a clarification stating that the image is either AI-generated or unrelated to the incident.

In a post on X, the Collector of Jabalpur said, "This photo is AI-generated or from some other source. It has no connection with the Bargi cruise accident."

The boat, carrying around 30–40 passengers, overturned amid sudden strong winds and stormy weather, leading to chaos onboard.

Panic and Safety Concerns

Eyewitness accounts and videos indicated panic among passengers, with many struggling to find life jackets moments before the vessel capsized, raising serious concerns over safety protocols.
