Fake passport racket busted in Kolkata, CID takes over investigation

Kolkata, Jan 8 (IBNS): West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Friday has taken over the probe into fake passport racket bust case in Kolkata, reports said.

The Bidhannagar City Police recently booked at least seven persons with a huge number of fake passports, voter cards and PAN cards.

According to sources, police also found few addresses of Panjab's Pathankot, Gurdaspur and Jalandhar on these fake passports, which were seized from their possession.

To investigate if there is any terror link with the racket, the CID has begun its probe into the case.

However, no terror link has been found so far.
